Freezin’ for a Reason provides individuals of all ages, including water-skiers, wakeboarders, and tubers, with an exceptional chance to challenge the cold waters of Lake Geneva and fundraise for a cause. On the first Saturday of December, the four-hour event includes a winter ski show by the Aquanuts, raffle, silent auction, and live auction on the shore of Lake Geneva. Proceeds from Freezin’ for a Reason are used to benefit charities in southern Wisconsin.
What to Expect
The fun filled day includes food and beverage specials, raffles, silent auctions, and a live auction. There are several warming stations for participants.
Schedule of Events
- 11:00am to 1:00pm: Amateur skiers
- 1:00pm to 1:30pm: Professional skiers
- 2:00pm to 3:00pm: Aquanuts Show
The event, which has garnered television and newspaper coverage over the years, has grown its participants to around 100, with more than 250 spectators and supporters cheering them on.
Hosting Sponsor Gage Marine will again provide boats, skis, tubes, and boards. Dry suits are available for a $50 donation or participants can bring their own equipment.
